On the evening of August 9, 2016, a 60th birthday celebration in Louisville's Parkland neighborhood took a devastating turn. Friends and family had gathered near 26th and Kentucky Streets to honor Clarence Woods' milestone when, around 9:30 p.m., unexpected gunfire erupted, shattering the festive atmosphere.

The Victims: Lives Cut Short

The sudden violence claimed the lives of two attendees: 36-year-old Lashay Dorsey and 47-year-old Andre Mosley. Dorsey, a dedicated mother, was at the party to celebrate her uncle's birthday, having gone out of her way to make his day special.
