On January 8, 2016, the city of Birmingham, Alabama, was shaken by the tragic loss of 16-year-old Raven White, a vibrant junior at Clay-Chalkville High School. Raven, who was six and a half months pregnant, aspired to become a nurse and was eagerly anticipating the birth of her daughter, whom she planned to name Alita Renee. Her future was bright, filled with dreams of motherhood and a career dedicated to helping others.

The Fateful Night

That evening, Raven and her boyfriend, the father of her unborn child, were sitting in their car outside the Panorama East Apartments, sharing a pizza.
