Discovery of the Tragedy

On the morning of August 8, 2013, a passerby made a grim discovery in Wilmington, Delaware. At approximately 7:28 a.m., the body of 32-year-old Janeal Nicole Jones was found in a lot on the 600 block of East 14th Street. Preliminary investigations indicated that Janeal had been stabbed, leading authorities to treat her death as a homicide. Despite the immediate response, the case remains unsolved over a decade later.

A Life Remembered

Born on October 1, 1980, in Wilmington, Janeal was the daughter of James E. Neal, Jr. and Lovella Delacy Jones. She pursued her education in New Castle County schools and later attended Edgewood High School in Maryland. Janeal furthered her studies at Keystone School Job Corps in Pennsylvania, focusing on Information Technology and Early Child Development.
