A Life Cut Short

On February 9, 2015, the life of 28-year-old Reginald Hightower was tragically ended in a violent act that remains unsolved to this day. Born on April 9, 1986, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Reginald was the son of Reginald and Sylvia L. Brown Hightower. He spent his formative years in Sumter County, South Carolina, attending Lakewood High School. In search of new opportunities, he relocated to Tampa, Florida, where he sought to build a future. However, his aspirations were abruptly halted on that fateful February evening.

The Night of the Incident

The events unfolded at the Columbus Court Apartments, located at 2802 Statelite Court in Tampa. Reginald was seated on an electrical box in the courtyard when three masked individuals approached him. One of the assailants brandished an assault rifle and, without warning, opened fire. Reginald sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
