In the years following Timothy's murder, his family has remained steadfast in their pursuit of answers. Gathering annually at the site of his death, they honor his memory and renew their plea for information. Timothy's father, Timothy O'Connor Sr., has been particularly vocal, expressing the enduring pain and frustration of an unresolved case. "It's a struggle. It's been eight years and we're not making any progress," he lamented during a 2017 vigil. "Nothing's happened, but I'm not going to give up. I can't. I don't have it in me. I'm going to be here every year." 
