A Life Cut Short

On August 11, 2010, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the tragic murder of 30-year-old Pernell Antonio Dillard Sr. Born on August 1, 1980, Dillard was a beloved son, father, and friend. His untimely death left a void in the lives of those who knew him, and the community has been yearning for answers ever since. 

The Fateful Night

That evening, Dillard was visiting his best friend, John Beamus, at Beamus's mother's home located at 1139 S 28th Street in West Louisville. Both men were on the front porch when, shortly before midnight, they were ambushed and fatally shot.
