A Tragic Night in Northwest D.C.

On the chilly evening of December 7, 2013, at approximately 12:10 a.m., the tranquility of the 200 block of Bates Street NW in Washington, D.C., was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Lamont "Mon Mon" Hall, a resident known to many in the community, was fatally shot in the rear alley of this block. Despite the prompt response of emergency services, Hall succumbed to his injuries at the scene, leaving a community in mourning and authorities with a perplexing case that remains unsolved to this day.

The Immediate Aftermath

In the days following the murder, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) launched an intensive investigation. Detectives canvassed the neighborhood, seeking witnesses and gathering any available evidence.
