Discovery of a Tragedy

On March 1, 2011, the quiet community of Toccoa, Georgia, was shaken by the tragic discovery of 46-year-old Robert Lee Simmons, Jr. Family members found him unresponsive in his residence at the Glendale Apartment Complex on Norman Drive. Responding to their distress call, the Toccoa Police Department arrived promptly, and an autopsy by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that Simmons' death was a homicide.
