Discovery of a Tragedy

On the morning of April 28, 2019, Anchorage police responded to a distressing call. At approximately 10:13 AM, a report came in about a deceased individual inside a vehicle located in the 1000-block of East 20th Avenue, near Woodside Park adjacent to Chester Creek. Upon arrival, officers found 36-year-old Laron Roberts, known affectionately as "PI" to his loved ones, lifeless with a gunshot wound to his upper body. The scene was immediately cordoned off, and the Crime Scene Team was dispatched to meticulously gather evidence. Roberts' body was subsequently transferred to the State Medical Examiner's office for a comprehensive autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

A Community in Mourning

The sudden and violent loss of Laron "PI" Roberts sent shockwaves through the Anchorage community. Friends, family, and neighbors grappled with the reality of his untimely death. PI was celebrated for his infectious smile and hearty laugh, attributes that could brighten any room. He was known for his generosity, often willing to offer the shirt off his back to those in need.
