A Tragic Day in Gage Park

On August 3, 2017, the Gage Park neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side was shaken by a senseless act of violence. At approximately 11:30 a.m., 46-year-old Abel Melesio was fatally shot while attending to his lawn in the 5600-block of South Richmond Street. The broad daylight attack left the community in shock and mourning.
