The Fateful Night
Late on the night of December 13, 2017, Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 9900 block of Shirewick Way, near Ashby Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All were transported to University Hospital for treatment. Tragically, Carlos Turrelles-Arias and 21-year-old Omar Alejandro Rebozo-Hibirma succumbed to their injuries, while the third victim survived and was reported to be in stable condition.
