The city of Louisville, Kentucky, has witnessed numerous tragedies, but few are as haunting as the unsolved murder of Ivan J. Bailey. At just 21 years old, Ivan's life was abruptly ended, leaving a void in his family and community. The Fateful Day

On April 4, 2014, around 11:36 a.m., Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 3100 block of Vermont Avenue, a neighborhood in west Louisville. Upon arrival, they discovered Ivan J. Bailey lying in a vacant lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services pronounced him dead at the scene.
