On July 5, 2015, the city of Louisville was shaken by a tragic event that led to the untimely death of 26-year-old Gene Earl Cary. Despite the passage of time, his murder remains unsolved, leaving his family and community searching for answers and justice.

The Incident

Gene Cary was shot in the stomach while visiting friends at an apartment complex located on Quail Court and Quail Hollow Run, off Poplar Level Road. Initially, medical professionals were optimistic about his recovery.
