A Tragic Morning in San Bernardino
On the morning of March 3, 2016, the city of San Bernardino was shaken by a senseless act of violence. At approximately 8:30 a.m., 34-year-old Gilbert Jaramillo was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Colorado and Lincoln Avenues when he was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting. Witnesses reported seeing a maroon SUV or minivan approach Jaramillo before shots were fired, leaving him critically injured. Despite being rushed to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, Jaramillo succumbed to his injuries, marking another tragic loss for the community.
