On the early morning of Saturday, January 22, 2005, the tranquility of Washington, D.C.'s Southeast neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 1:50 am, near the intersection of 16th and U Streets, SE, 31-year-old Emmett Jordan was fatally shot.
