A Tragic Evening in Savannah

On the evening of September 12, 2016, the tranquility of Savannah, Georgia, was shattered by a violent act that remains unresolved to this day. At approximately 7:30 p.m., Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department (SCMPD) officers responded to a distress call at the intersection of Meding and 61st streets. Upon arrival, they discovered a vehicle that had collided with an unoccupied residence. The driver, 41-year-old Shawn "Cut" March, was found inside, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Memorial University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
