A Promising Young Life
On December 2, 2017, the Cragin neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest Side was shaken by the tragic death of 20-year-old Isiah Hope High. Known for his energetic spirit and unwavering positivity, Isiah was a father to two young daughters and a beloved member of his community. His cousin, Junior Gonzalez, fondly recalled, "Even through the tough times in life he always had a smile on his face." Isiah's commitment to his family and his "old-school values" left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
The Day of the Tragedy
The events of that fateful Saturday afternoon unfolded swiftly and violently. At approximately 1:17 p.m., Isiah was riding his bicycle in the 2600 block of North Long Avenue, just a block away from his residence.
