On the evening of August 10, 2004, at approximately 8:30 PM, the tranquility of Southeast Washington, D.C., was shattered by the sound of gunfire. At 5401 Drake Place SE, 31-year-old Kenneth Leroy Joiner was fatally shot, marking the beginning of a case that remains unsolved to this day.
