On September 6, 2015, the Woodlawn neighborhood of Chicago was shaken by the tragic death of 20-year-old Shaquandra Ratliff. Known affectionately as "Boobie" or "Boo-boo" to her family and friends, Shaquandra's life was abruptly ended during an incident that remains unsolved to this day.

The Fateful Event: A Gathering Turned Deadly

In the early hours of that Sunday, around 1:30 a.m., Shaquandra attended a gathering in an alley located in the 6100 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue. The event was a commemoration marking the one-year anniversary of a gang member's death.
