A Promising Life Cut Short

In the early hours of May 16, 2012, the city of New Haven, Connecticut, was shaken by the tragic death of 20-year-old Ashley Armstrong. A nursing student from Danbury, Ashley was known for her dedication to her studies and her compassionate nature. Employed as a certified nursing assistant at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center in Ridgefield, she balanced her academic pursuits with a commitment to patient care. The Fateful Night

On that ill-fated night, Ashley and four friends—two from Danbury, one from New York, and two from New Haven—decided to meet up with a group of men they knew.
