A Routine Evening Turns Deadly

On the evening of November 27, 2016, the bustling city of Phoenix was jolted by a violent incident that unfolded on a light rail platform near 24th and Jefferson Streets. At approximately 8:40 p.m., two men, 37-year-old Cory Harrell and 46-year-old Raymond Woolfolk, were engaged in what seemed to be a routine interaction. The Fatal Confrontation

Witnesses recounted that the dispute quickly intensified. Amid the struggle, the unidentified assailant brandished a firearm and discharged it, striking both Harrell and Woolfolk. The assailant then fled the scene, leaving the victims critically wounded. Emergency responders arrived promptly, rushing both men to a nearby hospital.
