A Fateful Visit Turns Deadly

On April 14, 2010, William Richard Wood, a 50-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, visited a friend's apartment on Gordon Street in Tampa. What began as a routine visit quickly escalated into a nightmare when an armed robbery unfolded, leaving Wood critically injured. Despite being rushed to Tampa General Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, marking the beginning of a complex and unresolved homicide case.

A Life Remembered

William R. Wood was more than a victim; he was a retired businessman with a rich history. Before moving to St. Petersburg with his wife in 2004, Wood owned Midland Acres Quarry and Subdivision in Pease Bay, Grand Cayman. He also operated the Everglo Bar and Restaurant in Bodden Town, Grand Cayman, for many years.
