A Promising Life Cut Short

In the early hours of February 19, 2012, 26-year-old Cedric Lavett Blair Jr. was driving through Northeast Fresno, California. A devoted father of two young sons, aged three years and three months, Cedric was known for his dedication to his family and his steady employment. That night, he sent a text message to his fiancée, informing her he was on his way home. Tragically, he would never arrive.

The Fatal Incident

While stopped at the intersection of Gettysburg and Cedar, Cedric's vehicle was ambushed. Multiple gunshots were fired into the car, striking both Cedric and his passenger, Christopher Manley. Despite his injuries, Cedric attempted to drive away but crashed his car a short distance from the scene. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but Cedric succumbed to his injuries.
