In the early hours of June 29, 2016, the Marquette Park neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side became the scene of a tragic event that claimed the life of 18-year-old Marshawn Hilson. Despite the passage of time, his murder remains unsolved, leaving a void in his family and community.๎ˆ†

The Fateful Encounter

At approximately 2:03 a.m., Marshawn Hilson exited a vehicle in the 6300 block of South Talman Avenue. He approached a group of males when, without warning, someone within the group brandished a firearm and opened fire. Hilson sustained multiple gunshot wounds: three to the chest and one to the left side of his head.
