The Fateful Night

In the early hours of Sunday, September 26, 2004, the tranquility of the 2900 block of Knox Place SE in Washington, D.C., was shattered by the sound of gunfire. At approximately 2:33 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered 35-year-old Donieal Sadler suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Despite the prompt response, Sadler's life could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Community in Mourning

The Southeast D.C. community was left reeling from the loss of Sadler.
