On Monday, May 19, 2014, at approximately 11:15 PM, the tranquility of the Unit block of 55th Street, SE, in Washington, D.C., was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Residents emerged to find 22-year-old Ronnell Daniels lying mortally wounded, the victim of a senseless shooting. Despite the prompt arrival of emergency services, Ronnell succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
