Discovery of the Crime Scene

On the morning of March 13, 2017, Chicago police responded to a call about an illegally parked Chevrolet Monte Carlo in an alley on the 8600 block of South Throop Street in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood. Upon arrival at 7:35 a.m., officers discovered a gruesome scene: the lifeless bodies of three young men inside the vehicle. One victim was found in the front seat, another in the back seat, and the third in the trunk.

Victims Identified

The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the victims as 20-year-old Vogels T. Anderson Jr., 20-year-old Ryan Hamilton, and 18-year-old Devontae Watson.
