A Young Life Cut Short

On February 14, 2012, Valentine's Day took a tragic turn in Denver's northeast Park Hill neighborhood. Nineteen-year-old Serril Jovan Allen was found with a gunshot wound to the chest near East 36th Avenue and Hudson Street. Despite being rushed to Denver Health Medical Center, Serril succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The Denver Coroner's Office later confirmed his identity and cause of death.

A Promising Future Unfulfilled

Born on October 21, 1992, Serril was a young man with potential and aspirations. He was a father to his son, Serril J. Allen Jr., and was known to have attended Ridge View Academy, where he played as a running back on the school's football team. His family, including his parents Kesi J.
