A Routine Evening Turns Tragic

On the evening of January 25, 2011, 26-year-old Timothy Bowden embarked on a routine errand in San Diego's Southcrest neighborhood. He left a friend's apartment to visit a nearby grocery store, a simple task he had likely performed countless times before. However, as he made his way back along the 4700 block of Logan Avenue, tragedy struck. At approximately 10:49 p.m., residents reported hearing gunshots, and subsequent calls to emergency services indicated that a man had been shot. Responding officers and paramedics found Bowden lying on the north sidewalk, critically wounded from multiple gunshot injuries.
