A Quiet Day Turns Mysterious

On January 13, 2020, Tina Mae Donovan, a 45-year-old woman from Ottawa, Illinois, was reported missing after failing to show up for work. Her last known location was Starved Rock State Park, a popular destination in LaSalle County. Surveillance footage captured her withdrawing money from her bank at 1:45 p.m. Later that day, her phone pinged near the park at 5:23 p.m., and her vehicle was found parked near the Starved Rock Lodge. 

Investigators discovered Donovan's crutches and personal belongings at the base of a cliff along the Illinois River, near the lock and dam. Video footage showed a woman matching her description, using crutches and wearing a black walking boot, heading towards a trail. Authorities believe she may have entered the water, but her body has never been found. 

A Cryptic Message

Before her disappearance, Donovan left a note and sent letters referencing "eating from the tree of life." These messages have added a layer of mystery to the case, leaving investigators and loved ones searching for answers. 
