A Life Cut Short

Vincent "Vinny" Magallanes Jr. was a 19-year-old resident of New Orleans whose life was tragically ended on October 26, 2017. Raised by his grandmother, Maria E. Kellum, Vinny was remembered by family and friends as a bright and spirited young man. His untimely death left a void in the lives of those who knew him. 

The Tragic Incident

On the evening of October 26, 2017, Vincent Magallanes Jr. and 23-year-old Melissa Decker were found shot to death in a residence located in the Holy Cross neighborhood of New Orleans. The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear, and the case has not been resolved. 

A Case Gone Cold

Despite investigations by the New Orleans Police Department, the murders of Vincent Magallanes Jr. and Melissa Decker remain unsolved. The lack of leads and information has led to the case becoming one of the many cold cases in the New Orleans area. 

Vincent Magallanes Jr. is survived by his grandmother, Maria E. Kellum, who raised him, as well as other family members and friends who continue to mourn his loss.
