A Family's Vanishing Act

On January 4, 2018, the disappearance of 20-month-old twins Setina and Ren Weddles from Stockton, California, captured national attention. Their parents, Aaron Ivan Weddles and Princess Dara Canez-Walker, along with three of their other children, were reported missing. Five days later, authorities located the family living in deplorable conditions inside a white 2002 Suzuki SUV near Pixley Slough in Stockton. The twins, however, were not with them and have not been seen since.

Unraveling a Troubled Past

The family's history revealed a pattern of instability and neglect. After the twins' birth on April 7, 2016, hospital staff expressed concerns about the parents' fitness, noting that the twins missed scheduled wellness checkups.
