In the summer of 2021, Edy Leonel Boror Cojon, a 37-year-old Guatemalan national, embarked on a journey toward the United States, seeking better opportunities for himself and his family. Like many migrants from Central America, Edy faced the arduous task of traversing treacherous terrains, with the hope of reaching a land of promise.
