On that fateful Sunday, Kevin was last seen leaving his residence at 629 Prendergast Avenue around 4 p.m., reportedly heading to a friend's house. He never arrived, and concerns grew rapidly when he failed to return home or contact his family—a behavior uncharacteristic of him. 
