On April 12, 2021, Harold Wayne Mercer, affectionately known as "Buddy," was last observed in the vicinity of Cleveland Avenue and Morse Road in Columbus, Ohio. Since that day, his whereabouts have remained unknown, leaving a void in the hearts of his loved ones and the community. 
