Katherine O'Neil Anderson, affectionately known as "Kitty," was born on November 16, 1954. At the age of 24, she stood 5'3" tall and weighed between 100 to 110 pounds. Katherine had blonde hair, blue eyes, and a distinctive small scar over her left eye. Her choice of attire on the day she vanished included a pink pullover V-neck sweater over a blouse, greenish-blue corduroy slacks, Dr. Scholl's sandals, and jewelry comprising a silver bracelet, a silver ring with a blue stone, a silver band, and a brown and white beaded necklace.

The Day of Disappearance: April 20, 1979

On April 20, 1979, Katherine took her metallic blue van, bearing Maryland license plates GRD114, to Tate Dodge Chrysler on West Street in Annapolis for repairs.
