Introduction: The Vanishing of a Local Fisherman

On September 13, 2002, the small community of Louisville, Georgia, was shaken by the mysterious disappearance of 66-year-old William "Bill" Farrer. A semi-retired man known for his love of fishing, Farrer vanished without a trace, leaving behind a perplexing case that remains unsolved to this day. 

Discovery at Rocky Comfort Creek

Farrer's last known whereabouts were at Rocky Comfort Creek, a favored fishing spot near Clark's Mill Road. Witnesses reported seeing him around 10:00 a.m. with two unidentified men in a white Dodge pickup truck bearing North Carolina license plates. One of these men was allegedly armed. Later that day, Farrer's boat was found anchored over a fallen tree, about a foot above the waterline. Inside the boat were his fishing rods, a cage of crickets, and his hat, which was found upside down.
