Seventeen-year-old Kimythe Antwione Hubbard was a vibrant presence in Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood. As one of six siblings—three boys and three girls—he was deeply cherished by his family. Friends and relatives recall his infectious smile and the aspirations he held for a brighter future. His untimely death left a void that continues to be felt by all who knew him. 

The Fateful Evening

On July 9, 2015, Kimythe was walking behind the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Woodlawn. Without warning, he was shot in the back.
