A Life Cut Short

On September 25, 2016, the life of 22-year-old Marcellus Thomas was tragically ended in a violent incident that has since remained unsolved. Thomas, a resident of Northeast Washington, D.C., was found unconscious with a fatal gunshot wound in the 400 block of Riggs Road NE during the early hours of that Sunday morning. Despite immediate response from law enforcement and medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Fateful Night

The sequence of events leading up to Thomas's death began around 2:42 a.m. when the Metropolitan Police Department received reports of gunfire near the intersection of Nicholson Street and Kensington Place NE.
