A Tragic Discovery
On September 13, 2011, the tranquil neighborhood of Sea Grass Lane in Golden Gate, Naples, was shattered by a gruesome discovery. Inside their modest home, 81-year-old Carmen Perez-Stolts and her 71-year-old boyfriend, Ludwig Volksheimer, were found dead in their master bedroom. Both had been fatally shot, and the circumstances surrounding their deaths have baffled investigators and the community ever since.
A Loving Couple Remembered
Carmen, a compassionate caregiver originally from Jamaica, was known for her dedication to the elderly and her vibrant personality. She had survived cancer and was an active member of the Singles Network of Naples and St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. Her granddaughter, Michelle Woode-Bowen, fondly recalled Carmen's elegance and love for fashion, noting her collection of over 400 pairs of shoes.
