Discovery of the Bodies

On the morning of Sunday, August 9, 1998, at approximately 10:28 AM, the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Department received a distressing call reporting the discovery of a body along the north side of Dakota Drive, west of 171st Street in Leavenworth County, Kansas. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities uncovered not one but two bodies, later identified as Lawrence L. Daigle and his wife, Teresa C. Daigle. Both victims had been shot multiple times, their lifeless forms wrapped in a tarp and callously discarded by the roadside. 

Victim Profiles

Lawrence L. Daigle was a white male, born on December 18, 1943, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. Teresa C. Daigle, born on July 19, 1947, was a white female, 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 148 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. The couple's last known address was 1025 Wakefield, Houston, Texas. Investigations revealed that they had extensive connections to both Wichita and Kansas City, Kansas, but no known ties to the Leavenworth area, making their presence there particularly perplexing. ...Read More
