A Quiet Evening Turns Tragic

On the evening of October 21, 2005, the rural community of Mongo in LaGrange County, Indiana, was shattered by a heinous crime that remains unsolved to this day. Terry Anderson, 59, and his wife, Darleen Anderson, 57, were brutally murdered in their own home, a place that had always been a sanctuary for them. The couple had spent the evening as they often did; Terry was working in his pole barn, while Darleen relaxed inside their residence. This ordinary night took a horrific turn, leading to one of the most perplexing cases in the county's history. 

The following morning, concern grew when Terry failed to show up for work. A coworker arrived at the Anderson residence to check on him and made a gruesome discovery. Darleen was found lifeless on the couch, a bowl of popcorn beside her, indicating she had been enjoying a quiet evening. She had suffered fatal blunt force trauma to the head. Law enforcement was immediately notified, and upon their arrival, they discovered Terry's body in the pole barn, also a victim of blunt force trauma. 
