Discovery of the Victim

On Monday, January 10, 2005, at approximately 1:30 pm, emergency responders from the DC Fire Board arrived at the 3800 block of 12th Street, NE, following a report of a medical emergency. Upon arrival, they found an unconscious man lying in the parking lot of the Riggs Bank, later identified as 56-year-old Aloysius Roland Clarke. Clarke had sustained a severe laceration to the back of his head.

Immediate Medical Response

Clarke was promptly transported to the Washington Hospital Center’s MedStar Unit for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after admission. The nature of the head wound suggested foul play, prompting authorities to initiate a homicide investigation. ...Read More
