Discovery of the Body

On November 14, 2014, the lifeless body of 37-year-old Damaris Rainwater Hawes was discovered in a parking garage near Georgia State University in Atlanta. She was found inside a sleeping bag on the first level of the AAA parking garage at Kimball Way and Decatur Street.
