A Life Cut Short

On January 30, 2006, at approximately 12:10 PM, the 500 block of Lamont Street NW in Washington, D.C., became the scene of a tragic event. Delante McCray, a resident of the city, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the prompt response of emergency services, McCray succumbed to his injuries, leaving a void in his community and a case that remains unsolved to this day.

The Immediate Aftermath

Following the incident, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) launched an intensive investigation. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Branch were assigned to the case, seeking to piece together the events that led to McCray's untimely death.
