Introduction to the Case

On April 25, 2011, the Louisville Metro Police Department responded to a distressing call at 9509 Cochise Way in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of 64-year-old Donald P. Thornhill inside his residence. The coroner later determined that Thornhill had died from sharp force injuries, indicating a violent attack. 

Background of Donald Thornhill

Born to Phillip and Mary (McCandless) Thornhill, Donald spent his entire life in Louisville. He was employed as a cook but had been disabled for several years leading up to his death. Family members remember him as a dedicated husband to his wife of 27 years, Bonnie (Noel) Thornhill.
