Early Morning Tragedy on West 27th Street
On June 14, 2015, at approximately 6:05 a.m., the tranquility of Indianapolis' Near Northside was shattered by gunfire. Emergency responders arrived at the 1300 block of West 27th Street to find 48-year-old Gerald Darden suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to Eskenazi Hospital, Darden succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community in shock and a family in mourning.
A Life Remembered
Gerald Walter "Piggy" Darden was a 49-year-old resident of Indianapolis. His obituary reflects a man who was cherished by his community and loved ones.
