A Rising Star in Jacksonville's Music Scene

Doran Moore, affectionately known as "Mista Mo," was a prominent figure in Jacksonville, Florida's music community. As a talented rapper signed to Block Enterprises, he collaborated with artists like Ralo and Young Greatness, contributing significantly to the label's #rebuildingHipHopblockByBLOCK movement. Beyond his musical endeavors, Moore was a dedicated father of two, with a third child on the way, and was deeply involved in local charitable activities. His passion for uplifting his community was evident in his frequent participation in events aimed at supporting underprivileged children.

The Tragic Night

On December 21, 2017, Moore attended a charity event for children in Jacksonville, embodying his commitment to giving back to his community. Tragically, just hours after the event, he was found fatally shot in a driveway on Fourth Street Circle, off Melson Avenue, in the Woodstock neighborhood. Another individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the same incident and was treated at a local hospital.
