A Young Woman's Journey to the Capital
In early March 1998, 19-year-old Jennifer Zoch and her 24-year-old cousin, Kelly Compton, left their hometown of Goodman, Wisconsin, seeking adventure and new opportunities in Washington, D.C. The two young women hoped to escape the monotony of small-town life and experience the vibrancy of the nation's capital. They took up residence at a Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge, immersing themselves in the city's nightlife and working as go-go dancers. Jennifer, performing under the stage name "Ecstasy," quickly became a familiar face in the local entertainment scene.
Descent into Danger
As their stay in Washington extended, Jennifer and Kelly found themselves drawn into the perilous world of street prostitution. They began working along "The Track," a notorious area on Massachusetts Avenue between 12th and 13th Streets NW, known for its high-risk environment.
