Introduction: The Tragic End of Jimmy Jenkins

On the evening of November 29, 2015, the city of Chicago was once again reminded of its ongoing struggle with gun violence. Jimmy Jenkins, a 28-year-old resident, was discovered unresponsive in a gangway located in the 900 block of West 59th Street in the Englewood neighborhood. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:16 p.m. 

A Life Cut Short

Jimmy Jenkins resided in the 5900 block of South Morgan Street, not far from where his body was found. Details about his personal life, including his occupation and aspirations, remain scarce. However, community members described him as a charming, helpful, and loving individual.
